Tonia Kendrick, over at Tonia’s Roots has started of a blogging series entitled ‘31 Weeks of Better Genealogy Blogging’. It’s Week 1 (ish) and the challenge is to write an Elevator Pitch for your blog. An “Elevator Pitch” is basically describing your business / blog ideas or reasoning in the time it takes an elevator to travel up some floors.
There’s been a lot of post’s for this, so I thought I’d chip in with mine despite the fact that I don’t particularly like “corporate talk”, or elevators for that matter but here it is:
I have no social life because I spend all my money on dead people and blog about it.
That normally kicks off the conversation and explains why I’m always broke!
I love it! Elevator Pitch is a new term to me and it is not a style of writing I am familiar with - editing down to a fine art, I think.
ReplyDeleteI must give it a go. Susan.
I love it, too! Succinct, to the point, and edgy.
